 Barkatullah University (BU) is a University in Bhopal, India that was born there in honour of the great freedom fighter, Prof. Barkatullah. He is the main University in the capital and provides degrees for most technical colleges and around Bhopal. Funded by the State Government, the University has a residential campus and serves as affiliating University for faculties of the other seven districts. The University affiliates colleges of Bhopal District and other neighbouring districts like Sehore, Vidisha, Betul, Hoshangabad, and Rajgarh are hard. Barkatullah University was accredited as a University in category b by national assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Management in the College of Barkatullah was created in 1979. Chakravarti Rajgopalachari Institute of Management, or Crim, Jack offers postgraduate full-time in management (MBA) for two years for students. Entry to this programme is governed by a rigorous selection process conducted by VYAPAM and scenario of commercial activities.

The engineering college of Barkatullah University was established as College of Engineering in August 1997 with the approval of the All India Council for technical education in concurrence with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The Institute changed its name in 2000. After some time it changed its name to Barkatullah University Institute of Technology (FASE). This is a leading technological Institute of central India.

It is a self-financed Institute and offers engineering courses in the following components:

Engineering Electronics & communications Boris
B.E. Computer Science & engineering
B.e. mechanical engineering
B.e. information technology
B.e. civil engineering

UIT (now BUIT) also offers postgraduate programs are the following:

M.tech. (Material Science) (full time)
M. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) (full time)
M.tech. (Information Technology) (full time)
Master in computer applications (full-time)

In addition to these programs, some part-time programmes m. Tech are offered by the BUIT.

Sponsorship of Barkatullah University and cooperation with the industries of the region provides excellent exposure for their students. Barkatullah University has made available a 30 acre (120,000 m2) of land on the campus of the UIT. The University also provides infrastructural objects, which include the new college building floor area of 4763 m2. Institutional building of 3726 m2 (floor area) for the creation of the laboratory of the State of art planned services.

There are post-graduate courses, certified courses, diploma courses, M. Phil programmes, postdoctoral fellowships, etc. to respond to regional and national needs. In addition to the conventional courses, the University offers several innovative and oriented to the work at the post-graduate level. Most of these courses are not traditional and interdisciplinary. There are 100 academic programs, covering undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses. There are 26 self-financing courses.

Campus of Barkatullah University covers 360 acres (1.5 km2). It is on National Highway 12 passes through Bhopal. Is a residential type campus and, in addition to the Vice-Chancellor and the staff quarters, there are four hostels for boys and a separate Hostel for girls. Within the campus, there are buildings for various departments such as the Institute of physics and Electronics, Department of pharmacy, University Institute of technology, Management Institute, Faculty of law, Department of psychology, etc. It houses also an administrative building, a bungalow, an auditorium and a playground.
